Rebuilding Architecture and Design for ePays
ePays is the Employee Payslip management system of our Large Enterprise Client that was built by a SaaS provider using collection of their products. However, the legacy system was not adequate enough to handle modern functionalities and performance needed by the increasing workforce of our client.
So, they needed a brand-new Employee Payments and Accounts management system that can utilize modern technologies, scale to their performance needs and provide long term sustainability. This is a success story about one of our clients whom we helped to move away from their legacy business-critical system to a brand-new application that was built using latest technologies and deployed on scale to meet their ever-growing demands.
Challenges
The Client has large workforce who depends on the ePays system for their day-to-day activities. The legacy ePays custom solution built by the SaaS provider did not have any documentation, proper maintenance or support for any kind of migration to modern technologies. The Client was paying high costs to sustain the legacy system under their support.
All the existing functionalities needed to be reverse engineered as there was no source code or documentation available.
Scalability on high level enterprise deployment to meet the large workforce of our client.
Solution
We rebuilt their legacy system from scratch using modern de-coupled Micro Services based architecture with latest technologies to support cross platform development and deployed it on Microsoft Azure public cloud system leveraging the unlimited levels of scalability that Microsoft offers to their enterprise customers to support our client’s large workforce performance demands.
