Anthropic Launches Tools to Show Companies What Their AI Spending Is Buying

New enterprise reporting features aim to answer the question large customers keep asking: is the AI spend paying off.

TechCrunch reports that Anthropic has launched new enterprise reporting tools that let managers review a team's output with Claude over a given date range, how much it cost, and where workflows broke down, drawing on internal analytics and employee surveys. The reports also include recommendations for improving results, and Anthropic is adding pooled group budgets so teams can manage their token spending more deliberately.

Anthropic says it will not use this reporting data for model training by default. TechCrunch frames the launch as a direct response to the return-on-investment question that large enterprise customers keep raising about their AI spend.

Why it matters: enterprise AI budgets are climbing fast, and most organizations still lack a clean way to tie that spend to outcomes. Expect AI programs to be judged, and funded, on measurable team-level results rather than on adoption numbers alone.
